The Literary Society
Literature is the expression of a society, just like words are expression of a human being. Here, at USME our expression is the literary society named ALFAAZ The name itself says it all, this society gives us words to express, a vent that every college going student needs at some point and a platform that sees nothing but pure talent in any form. Starting from open mic, essay writing to being a part of every event organized by Cultural Council , ALFAAZ never fails to surprise all of us at USME. May it be the shayaar, or the poet or the comedians of USME, ALFAAZ knows them all.
It’s the ultimate talent recognizing machine of the USME. ALFAAZ not only finds them but gives them the stage they need to showcase the talent. You name it and ALFAAZ has got it all for you. ALFAAZ believes and follows a very beautiful quote by Thomas Murton, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
Between thoughts and expressions, there lies a lifetime. Just like that, between hectic college life and exams, there lies ALFAAZ. ALFAAZ is not only the talent hub of the college but also makes sure these talents are well preserved and motivated with the regular events. The literary society makes sure it’s the life of every event we conduct at USME. Literature had never had so many followers until ALFAAZ pulled it off.
It is an absolute favorite amongst the students. ALFAAZ provides the students with experience that would not be possible elsewise, to introduce and enlarge our understanding of expression making the college life a memorial one.

AIM
Our aim is to bring out the writing, speaking, singing and every other talent of our members out in the world so as to make them more expressive and boost their abilities and art in order to shape them into better artists, and provide them a space where they can confidently showcase themselves in front of a friendly audience.
VISION
Our vision is that Literary art is something that comes out from one’s heart in the purest of forms, in the language it was created. We do not restrict our members to any particular language or genre, and aim to encourage words that hold the power to express oneself, amidst of leaving an impact on the listeners.
