The three main highlights of the events conducted by the Cultural Council are first the Fresher’s Welcome - INIZIO , during which the first year students are extended a warm welcome and are acquainted with the significant changes that usually come with being a part of a college .After that comes TRACTION :The Annual fest that is worth the wait. During the fest TRACTION the council along with all the societies organizes a wonderful splash of different types of events performed at various levels. In the fest, USME,DTU gladly invites number of colleges affiliated to various universities to compete and win cash prizes, certificates, trophies and awards for varied events ranging from literary, IT, dance, music, dramatics to artistic events like rangoli, tattoo art, painting, collage making etc. Goodbyes are a part of our lives and hence a farewell named Au revoir is organized every year for the outgoing students to make their memories stronger with the college in numerous activities. Along with these events there are also numerous festive events and alumni meets conducted for the college students.

The college believes in providing a lively student centric environment for their all round development and the Council along with the societies serves as a ground of opportunities for the students, offering them a wide range of  options of different creative forms to harness their creative and artistic skills and display their talents.

It has been said that “Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success” and hence the members of the Council are nominated on the basis of their talents and skills in cultural activities. All of them consist of those leadership qualities which helps to successfully conduct the various inter and intra college cultural activities.
